A big weekend upcoming

Time: Saturday: 10 AM to 12 noon, Sunday: 2-4 PM

Yesterday kicked off our upcoming big weekend as FCPS members brought their paintings to Reddi Arts for our first ever Member Show. We've been thinking about this event since our founding 16 months ago, and the moment has finally arrived!

Thirty two pieces have been entered into the show, and we are very fortunate to have obtained the services of Andy Kenyon as our judge. Andy is a noted portrait artist, primarily of children, who works in both pastels and oils. Check out his website.

Not only will Andy judge our show, but will also be doing a demo for us at our regular meeting on Saturday morning. His daughter will accompany him to the meeting and we will watch him do a pastel portrait of her. This is a treat not to be missed so we hope for a great turn-out from our membership.

We promise to keep the business portion of the meeting short and sweet to give Andy more time for the demo.

So come Saturday for a wonderful demo, and come Sunday for a reception with your fellow artists, friends and family. Have some wine, fine food, and see which of all the wonderful entries in the show were chosen by Andy for awards. We have some wonderful merchandise prizes so please attend!
